Many anglers assume that since we mostly troll for fish that that eliminates the chances of catching a Shark…  Not so!  We catch quite a few Sharks in both the deep water and on the reef.  Sharks are creatures of opportunity.  They sense a fish in distress and are quick to take full advantage of the situation.  In deep water, we occasionally encounter the legendary Mako Shark or a Silky Shark and on the reef, Caribbean Reef Sharks, Black Tips, Sandbar Sharks, and Hammerheads are common.  One minute you are reeling in a 2 pound Yellowtail Snapper and suddenly it gains 100 pounds and you are hooked up to the fight of your life.  Here’s a quick video to show you what it looks like!
