Dolphin Mixed in with Sailfish

November 18th, 2008

The sailfishing is good. The fish are chasing ballyhoo in as shallow as 40 feet of water. Along with the sails are nice size dolphin and kingfish. The best way to fish is to slow troll live baits from 80 out to 250 feet of water. Keep an eye out for working birds and any debris.

On the reef, the snappers are biting well. Putting out a bait on a kite or on a float out behind the boat could result in a nice size fish. Also a down bait may result in a mutton snapper or a grouper. This way you are fishing the entire water column.
