Key Largo Offshore Fishing

June 9th, 2009

In the past month I have been offshore several times and the dolphin bite has been the most consistent I have seen in a few years. Every time out we get a good box of fish and run in to fish 5or more times on most days.  All the school dolphin we have found this year are solid keeper size 4 to 6 lbs and running in to a few bigger fish (15 to 30 lbs) on most days. The action has been on the close side from a mile or two beyond the reef and on out. I have not had to fish any farther then 15 miles off for the past month. Also some big Wahoo and blackfin tuna action going on. Hope things hold up its really is a good bite this year.
