I ran to gulf to find some Spanish mackerel. I had to run 25 miles to find 65 degree water temperature. We caught trout, snappers and Spanish macks. When the mackerel were thick around the boat; Mike Mennell broke out his fly rod. He caught several fish with it. The winter fishing in the gulf; is a perfect place to sharpen your fly fishing skills.
