Tarpon Worm Hatch!

June 2nd, 2009

Tarpon have been pigging out on palalo worms during the late afternoon and early evening falling tides on the flats during the past several days on the Atlantic side . . .

On a recent day in May we had 5 different Tarpon eat either the Black Death or the Cockroach fly with the water hovering around 83-85F and the winds freshening from 10 kts to 20 kts.

News Flash!!!  The Best Tarpon Fly Fishing of the year is from now thru June . . .

As the waters warm up into the 80’s during the next month or two, more waves of Tarpon, Bonefish, and Permit should be showing.
